Killarney House and Gardens was restored to its former glory over the past few years and now the scenic gardens and magnificent house are one of the highlights of a trip to Killarney.
Found only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, there are many routes around the sizeable gardens which are filled with a vast array of colourful flowers and the gardens are the perfect place for a picnic during the Summer time. The entrance to the house and gardens is at the ‘Golden Gates’ which can be found where Muckross Road, Countess Road and Kenmare Place meet at a small roundabout.
The house itself has been restored and inside there is a visitor centre along with guided tours which last for approximately 30 minutes.
