Mangerton Mountain is located near Torc Mountain and takes about 5 hours to hike to the summit. The mountain is 839 meters high but is relatively easy to scale and most levels of fitness will be able for it.
The views on the way up the mountain and from the top are best seen in person to really believe how amazing they are. Sights to be seen include the Devil’s Punchbowl, MacGillycuddys Reeks, the Lakes of Killarney, Killarney National Park and on a good summer’s day depending on the weather you can sometimes see Kenmare Bay.
There are plenty of rest points on the way up where you can have a bit of food or a drink and enjoy the views. The mountain is also home to a variety of flora and fauna, including several rare species of plants.
